Victor Vasarely - Schachspiel

28.06.07 (aabykk) - art.auctions by Ketterer Kunst make it possible! On 7 July 2007, starting at 4 pm Central European daylight saving time, exciting works by internationally famous artists can be bought at the Ketterer Kunst live online auction Old Masters, Modern Art & Post War - and at very reasonable prices, too. Some 150 objects will be auctioned online for less than € 1000 each.

The popularity of the “Great Names at Affordable Prices” concept is snowballing with both individual bidders and dealers. Young collectors especially, who have great affinities with art but have to budget carefully, are making with some real finds here.

The very attractive prices are bound to lure many bidders this time as well. In addition to some 18th and 19th-century works, including prints by Johann Jakob Dorner the Younger and Franz von Stuck, the auction in the field of Modern and Contemporary Art is to feature such distinguished names as: Horst Antes, Lovis Corinth, Salvador Dalí, Otto Dix, Rupprecht Geiger, Erich Heckel, Horst Janssen, Pablo Picasso, R. B. Kitaj, Helmut Middendorf, Emil Schumacher, Pierre Soulages, Mark Tobey and Victor Vasarely.
Just a few works, including some by Willi Baumeister, Joseph Beuys and Victor Vasarely will be slightly more expensive: to take one example, the extraordinary Vasarely “Chess Set” could be yours for only € 2300. It consists of 32 chessmen in cast acrylic resin and a colour silkscreen print of the artist’s laminated with Perspex as the board.

Starting now, all objects are being shown on our homepage www.kettererkunst.com under “Old Masters & Modern Art & Post War - July 07, 2007 - Catalogue”. Bids in writing can already be entered there below detail views or directly at www.kettererkunst.com/auction/bids.shtml. If you want to bid live online, you can register as from now.

Pre-sale viewings of the objects have been scheduled for 2-4 July 2007, every day from 11 am to 5 pm, at Ketterer Kunst, Meßberg 1, Hamburg.

You will find more information at www.kettererkunst.com.
