Energy to go: The new E-Scooter GO! S1.4 of GOVECS comes with an exchangeable battery for the first time
GOVECS, Germany’s leading producer of innovative E-scooters, expands its GO! series by the model GO! S1.4. For the first time, the E-scooter comprises an exchangeable battery, which is ready to roll after a short charging cycle at any socket. With the removable battery the Munich-based producer reacts on the still insufficient development of the charging infrastructure for E-vehicles in Germany and creates the most flexible possibilities of using the zero-emission who-wheeler.The exchangeable battery of the GOVECS GO! S1.4 weighs only 15 kilograms and can be easily removed from the E-scooter and plugged into the next available socket. The lithium battery is charged again quickly through an external charger – be that in the morning in the office, spontaneously in the next coffee shop or in one’s own home. After only one hour on the grid the emptied storage battery reaches again about 80 per cent of its capacity; a full load takes two to three hours. Bike fans drive about 35 to 50 kilometres with the full battery. If this is not enough, an additional exchangeable battery can be bought separately, which removes all boundaries in terms of range of the scooter.
The model GOVECS GO! S1.4 is available in Germany as of mid-September at a price of Euro 4,959 (including VAT). The E-scooter is offered with three different speed variants, namely 20, 25 or 45 kilometres per hour. At the same time GOVECS launches its zero-emission Cargo scooter with freight box for the first time comprising an exchangeable battery.
The scooter produced in Europe as usually convinces with its high-class material processing. The belt-driven brushless AC motor with a torque of 54 Newton metres ensures hole shot acceleration. Thanks to its low weight of only about 100 kilograms the environmentally friendly scooter is moreover extremely manoeuvrable and agile. Combined with the extremely low centre of gravity of the GO! S1.4 this provides a dynamic and sappy driving experience.
“The spread of charging stations for E-vehicles in Germany is unfortunately still not comprehensive. With the GO! S1.4 we solve this problem, since our new exchangeable battery is principally rechargeable anywhere“, says Thomas Grübel, CEO of GOVECS GmbH. “The exchangeable battery turns the GO! S1.4 to a real city vehicle: Finally E-scooters are attractive also for those living on the upper floors, who cannot simply push their scooter to a socket in the ground floor.”
