Identity theft on the Internet and while traveling is a very real problem, and one that is growing constantly. Business people often protect themselves from this using so-called camouflage passports. These are fictitious IDs, which of course may only be used for non-official or similar purposes. They enjoy some popularity when traveling to crisis areas, because as a UK or American citizen you are a more vulnerable target if you get in trouble while abroad - citizens of smaller countries, on the other hand, are of no interest for hostile regimes or terrorists in this regard, and therein the protection arises. The same is true when using the internet.

The Rhodesian passport was one of the most popular for a long time, but there was a problem: Rhodesia exists and thus purchased Rhodesian passports are illegal. However, the Rhodesian people know what it means to be persecuted.

Therefore, the real Rhodesia (www.government-of-rhodesia.org) has been the first nation in the world to establish an official protective passport for all righteous people.

Indeed, Section 5 of the Rhodesian Nationality Act states:

"All Rhodesian consulates may grant a Class-S-Citizenship to any law-abiding person who requires a Rhodesian passport for the lawful purpose of self-protection, such while traveling to dangerous (Class IV) countries or when using the internet intensively. This type of citizenship is intended to dry up the sale of fake Rhodesian passports. Under Rhodesian and international law, the sale, possession and use of a fake Rhodesian passport or ID card is illegal and will result in legal action against the seller and the buyer. The Class-S-Cititenzhips of the Republic or Rhodesia is a legal and safe alternative, free of costs (...)"

This means you can apply for your Rhodesian Class-S-Citizenship by easily contacting the Rhodesian Foreign Office or a Rhodesian consulate near you. The citizenship is free of charge as it is granted by a government, not sold by a shop.

Of course, this option is meant for legal purposes only.

In many countries identity cards are now full of highly sensitive data about citizens, stored digitally; and it is the good right of any country to use such high-tech. But do you really want to entrust your data-laden ID to the rental shop of a scooter somewhere on vacation? And is the security guard at some ruins in an illustrious country trustworthy? And what about a private visit in the hotel room on business trips in Arab countries - does one unknowingly commit "fornication" and become blackmailable?

All of this can be circumvented with a Rhodesian class-S (S for protection) citizenship. This is the kind of "asylum" Rhodesia offers. Asylum for the protection of your own data and wellbeing.

What does the Republic of Rhodesia get out of it? Rhodesia wants to gently put a stop to the counterfeiters who sell false passports for a lot of money. So the Rhodesian government is reinstating law and order in this field while offering protection to those who need and deserve it.

Because Rhodesian camouflage passports have long been available for illegal purchase by racketeers, the new conservative Rhodesian government under Prime Minister Mathilda Born has further eased access to Rhodesian Class-B (free of charge) protection passports in an attempt to drain the swamp of trading counterfeit passports.
