Workstars integrate exciting new company awards features into social recognition
Workstars, the market-leading SaaS employee recognition provider, has released several exciting new platform updates.Organizations can now power their award processes by a traditional leadership-chosen process or adopt a completely democratic, peer-driven awards competitions.
This latest feature allows employees to nominate, support, and vote for their winners with prizes handed out within seconds of the final vote being completed.
With three different company award types to choose from, HR teams have real flexibility in the type of competition they want to run, including employee nominations with the company choosing winners, company-selected nominees and employee voting, or a truly social approach with peers choosing who to nominate and vote for.
What’s more, employees can tag other peers to lend their support for their nominations, turbocharging nomination activity and giving leaders more data points to make a winning decision.
Integrating company awards within a social program
Company award processes typically have a limited impact, with little transparency over the nominations process and only a select few employees ever winning.
Bringing it within a social recognition program changes that, ensuring a democratic process that’s driven by the positive contributions people make throughout an eligibility period (such as the year, quarter or month).
This key methodology ensures a long-held gripe with many award processes is fixed, being that award processes can often undermine or make a mockery of the company recognition program.
But not anymore. If your manager or colleagues didn’t think it was worthy of recognition at the time, you can’t be winning an award 12 months later. Every nomination, vote, comment and winner carries across into an organizations social feed to make the process more engaging and can even be broadcast across teamwork apps such as MS teams.
Workstars Sales Director, Andrew Greenwood, commented on the new feature launch that: “This is a really exciting new way to run company award campaigns which organizations large and small will be able to engage with in a transparent and engaging way.
“Integrating company awards within a social recognition program is a natural step for organizations that have embraced social recognition and are empowering their people to own the recognition conversation. It takes a long-established and ever-popular process and makes it more democratic and meaningful.
“This approach gives added weight to recognitions received throughout the year too, whilst also delivering a bigger impact with employees coming second and third also being recognized and rewarded through their program’s existing reward set-up.”
