HOUSTON – The law firm of Heard Robins Cloud & Black LLP is pleased to announce the addition of Texas courtroom veteran Graham Hill as a partner in the firm’s Houston headquarters.

Mr. Hill has represented clients in Texas and throughout the United States for more than 30 years. His legendary courtroom efforts include handling the nation’s first courtroom trial over the recalled diet drug Fen-Phen and negotiating a $1 billion class-action settlement for patients harmed by defective hip implants. He focuses his practice on commercial business litigation, in addition to cases involving class-action mass torts and products liability.

“We are excited to welcome Graham Hill and the wealth of legal experience and knowledge he brings to Heard Robins,” says Denman H. Heard, a founding partner of the firm.

Mr. Hill is immediate past president of the prestigious International Society of Barristers. He is only the second Texas attorney to be named president of the invitation-only group, which has just 650 members worldwide. Mr. Hill also is a member of the International Academy of Trial Lawyers, which is limited to 500 of the nation’s top attorneys, as well as the American College of Trial Lawyers and the American Board of Trial Advocates.

Honored in the Texas Super Lawyers list since 2003, Mr. Hill also is recognized in The Best Lawyers in America based on his work in personal injury litigation. He is Board Certified in Personal Injury Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization.

“I’m thrilled to be joining this excellent group of attorneys, and I look forward to serving both my commercial and individual clients at Heard Robins,” says Mr. Hill.

A former chairman of the Houston Bar Association’s Litigation Committee and former president of the Houston Trial Lawyers Association, Mr. Hill comes to Heard Robins from the Houston office of Locke Lord LLP, where he was a partner. He earned his law degree from the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law, and holds a master’s degree in public administration from The Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas.
