Cleo Black - The Mystery Artist of Mastery of Eternity Whose Digital Fabric Art is Ruling the Internet

In March 2020, Basilica Art House, an Art-tech company announced a new addition to their art curation the Mastery of Eternity by Cleo Black which is now available for private sale to global buyers and art investors for a rumored value of $100 Million. As good as the collection of the artworks is, the Art House intends to make this more about an investment into the future of Art. Available in the Digital Format this Art Collection is the first of its kind of ‘Digital Fabric’ Art and displays an insanely curious and freakish representation of a mysterious world.

The painting originates from the mind of Cleo Black, a name used to conceal the real identity of the artist. Cleo Black started out as a passionate individual in the field of visual graphics and digital artistry with no significant obsession to become a world accredited artist in fact, when he started out there was little to no craze for Digital Arts whatsoever. Events that took place next changed his life forever and the biggest of them was him coming across the most mysterious and weirdest of the books – Codex Seraphinianus filled with extremely weird imagery such as a couple having sex metamorphoses into a crocodile. Text that accompanies these surreal images, handwritten, seemingly ancient but totally unintelligible. The author of the book, Luigi Serafini, intended for his works to be a part of his quest for mysticism but didn’t have in view a plan to bring any meaning to the world from this.

Nevertheless, Cleo Black was intrigued by this form of mysticism and started reading more and more about esotericism and other forms of sacred philosophies and imaginative subjects which ultimately led him to create Mastery of Eternity that brought meaning to his world of ideas and imagination. In his later stages of life, he was so obsessed with these creatures and the book as a whole that it started clouding his behavior. Although Serafini didn’t plan for sensemaking from his work, Cleo Black sure did and this was noted and improvised by Basilica Art House.

Mastery of Eternity, now on sale behind closed doors, marks a big step towards the future of art. The founders of Basilica stated in an interview that, unlike traditional art, digital art is perfectly malleable and can be used to construct different sources for generating returns on investments. The art can be used by topmost brands of the world in their product designing or can be installed in a virtual museum online or fractionalized which will make it unchallenging for the trading of art on blockchain-based platforms.
