John McEnroe Adds Capital Region To Schedule For NY Sportimes World TeamTennis Match July 24
Sportimes CEO Claude Okin and John McEnroe
McEnroe, who will be making what is believed to be his first appearance in the Capital Region in more than 15 years, will be joined by Sportimes star Martina Hingis for the second of two matchups in the team's alternate home near Albany. Hingis and the Sportimes are scheduled to battle Venus Williams and the defending champion Washington Kastles at HVCC on July 21.
McEnroe will also anchor the Sportimes for their Randall's Island WTT matches on July 19 against Andre Agassi and the Boston Lobsters, which also serves as a benefit for the Johnny Mac Tennis Project, McEnroe’s not-for-profit foundation, and on July 25 in the Sportimes regular season home finale vs. Washington. Single match tickets for the July 19 Mac vs. Andre showdown are now available.

The 2012 WTT regular season runs from July 9-28, with the top two teams from both the Western and Eastern Conference advancing to the WTT Finals Weekend presented by GEICO, September 14-16, at the Family Circle Tennis Center in Charleston, S.C.
