Walk in the woods: A charming walk deep into the glen valley that lies hidden amidst the lush green northern slope of the ridge that The Oberoi Cecil, Shimla is perched on. A short walk (or drive) down the road to Annandale brings one to the bifurcation on a spur that descends through dense Rhododendron and Pine forest to a beautiful mountain stream. Picnic at the Peak - The Peak is a quaint colonial bungalow on a hilltop with magnificent views of the surrounding countryside. The bungalow was built in 1863 and was the weekend retreat for Viceroys Lord Ripon in 1884 and Lord Lytton in 1887.The Peak is surrounded by 10 acres of beautiful terraced apple orchards and lawns.
