Largest Messianic Jewish Denomination has a new Supreme Leader

The 1.7 million strong Messianic Jewish Fellowship International™ (part of the old-apostolic Christian Church International™) has a new Supreme Leader, Samuel I. He was appointed by the central committee of the messianic religious denomination as the first Jew holding this important office.

Since Old-Apostolic Christians and Messianic Jews share the same believes, despite different traditions, both are part of the world’s largest grassroots denomination.

His Eminence Samuel I. is an old-apostolic theologian and Messianic Jew (member of MJAA) who studied theology in the UK, Lebanon, Syria and at the denomination’s own cadre school (Arnulf Seminary of Theology) where he earned a doctorate in moral theology. His Eminence has been an ordained pastor and rabbi since 2013 and is part of the ultra-conservative and Messianic Jewish wing of the Christian Church International.

A growing part of the this Church’s members define themselves as messianic jewish or christo-judaic. Messianic Jews believe like Christians that Jesus is the Messiah, and accept the Old Testament as well as the Gospels of the New Testament. Salvation in Messianic Judaism is achieved only through acceptance of Jesus as one's savior. Believers of Messianic Judaism considers their faith as a natural part of Judaism while some traditional Jewish organizations don’t welcome Messianic Jews as part of the Jewish people.

The “Jerusalem Church” is considered to be the first community of early Christianity. It was formed in the holy city after the crucifixion of Jesus. It proclaimed the resurrection of Jesus Christ, forgiveness of sins and Jesus' teachings to the Israelites and all other peoples. So this early church, a Messianic Jewish sect, consisted mainly of "disciples," men and women, whom Jesus of Nazareth had already called to be his followers in Galilee and who had accompanied Him on His way to Jerusalem. In addition, there were Jews, Greek-speaking proselytes, and later also " God-abiding Gentiles" (non-Jews sympathetic to Judaism), who were won over and baptized by the preaching of the early Christians which are identical with what is called Messianic Jews. It proclaimed the resurrection of Jesus Christ, forgiveness of sins and Jesus' teachings to the Israelites and all other peoples.

The early church consisted mainly of "disciples," men and women whom Jesus of Nazareth had already called to be His followers in Galilee and who had accompanied Him on His way to Jerusalem. In addition, there were Jews, Greek-speaking proselytes and, later, also "God-abiding Gentiles" (non-Jews who sympathized with Judaism), that were won over and baptized by the preaching of the early Christians/Messianic Jews. The transition from Messianic Judaism to Christianity happened at this point in time - and it is precisely this community and spirit that is the most important point of reference for this denomination’s Judeo-Christian theology.
