SEMIKRON Increasing Operations & Maintenance Portfolio

03-16-2021 02:27 PM CET | Energy & Environment

Asset lifetime is a large concern for owners and operators of wind and solar farms, especially beyond the warranty period. SEMIKRON is now increasing the IGBT replacement stack portfolio that offers increased reliability over original equipment.

The portfolio now covers wind and solar replacement IGBT stacks, used in:
- ESS/Non-ESS/G8x wind turbines
- CP Series Solar Inverters
- Further models under development

These products are available in the U.S. through our authorized distributors, WECS Renewables and Solar Support.

For further details about our development of these and future Operations & Maintenance products, SEMIKRON is offering a free explanation webinar. This webinar takes place on Tuesday, 23 April 2021 at 16:00 CET with Timo Gassauer, Head of Product Line Stacks at SEMIKRON, and lasts approximately 45 minutes.

SEMIKRON is one of the world's leading manufacturers of power modules and systems primarily in the medium output range (approx. 2 kW up to 10 MW). Our products are at the heart of modern energy efficient motor drives and industrial automation systems. Further application areas include power supplies, renewable energies (wind and solar power) and electric vehicles (private cars, vans, buses, lorries, forklift trucks, and more). SEMIKRON's innovative power electronic products enable our customers to develop smaller, more energy efficient power electronic systems. These systems in turn reduce the global energy demand.

SEMIKRON is a family owned business founded in 1951, headquartered in Nuremberg, Germany. Today the company has a staff of more than 3,000 people in 24 subsidiaries worldwide. This international network with production sites in Germany, Brazil, China, France, India, Italy, Slovakia and the US ensures fast and comprehensive service for customers.
