Solamon invited to meet dignitaries in Mexico City; senior execs Yeo and Giles en route
Solamon Energy Corp CEO Graeme Boyce is pleased to announce President Jay Yeo and SVP Christian Giles are en route to Mexico City to meet senior government officials and business leaders in that country. These highly anticipated meetings follow in the wake of a tremendously successful trip to New York City, where Yeo recently addressed a sold-out crowd at Invest Caribbean 2012 held at the Marriott Marquis. They are both scheduled return to Solamon's head office on 13 June for a series of meetings with financiers in Toronto, alongside Boyce and SVP Michael Mitchell, before departing for Central America, the Mideast or the Caribbean.Based on introductions through Mitchell, Solamon Energy has been engaged in negotiations to supply utility-grade solar parks in Mexico for several months and the company is focused on delivering integrated systems primarily into the commercial sector this year. "In particular there are a lot of manufacturers representing internationally-recognized brands located in Mexico," Boyce explains, "who are now aggressively seeking locally-generated power and so, concurrent with our daily business activity, we have also been pursuing and reviewing a range of large-scale technology options, including efficient Concentrated Solar Voltaic solutions."
President Felipe Calderón of Mexico opened this year’s World Economic Forum on Latin America in Puerto Vallarta, on 16 April. Latin America is notable for its stability and innovative social, agriculture and renewable energy achievements. As such, the region is providing new models to address the future course of world affairs. Mexico, in particular, has outstanding potential — with 50% of its population of 110 million aged under 27 — and already attracts impressive levels of investment.
Solamon Energy typically offers a ground-mounted solar array of integrated photovoltaic cells over a package of land called the Apollo Acre™. The company now also designs and installs custom solutions with local partners to provide roof-mounted and parking lot systems that are easily augmented by micro wind turbine technology and other innovative features.
About: Solamon Energy Corp. sells integrated arrays of ground-mounted and rooftop photovoltaic cells. These solar power plants are connected by cable to varied transmission equipment, including converters, inverters and batteries, utilizing 5 acres of land per unit; each unit is called an Apollo Acre™. Additionally, it is expected the company’s business activities will spin-off many jobs locally, given engineering requirements, construction, unit commissioning and subsequent maintenance.
