June 6, 2012 (Durham, NC) – Durham native and Hillside High School alumni, Charles Belk, has been selected as one of three Diversity Fellows for the 2012 Cable Executive Management at Harvard Business School.

The Cable Executive Management at Harvard Business School sponsored by CTAM Educational Foundation (aka CTAM U) is a world-class management development experience for high potential cable and media executives in an elite business school environment. The week long program is from June 10-15, 2012, and allows participants to study with top Harvard Business School professors and selected industry luminaries within a curriculum that’s built around detailed case study problems. It’s a stimulating, demanding program that challenges minds and invigorate careers, with a focus on business strategy, management and marketing principles that ready them for the next generation of challenges.

Born and raised in Durham, Belk is a Producer and the Chief Branding Officer for I Will Make You A Star Productions, a Los Angeles based, social / digital marketing and production company. His two decades of diverse marketing communications experience allows him to deploy unique, integrated, brand awareness campaigns that engage, entice and ensure measurable results. His company provides services to cable television networks, movie studios, entertainment and the arts based non-profit organizations, and independent filmmakers. Charles Belk is the son of Durham resident, Johnnie Alston Belk.

CTAM, the Cable & Telecommunications Association for Marketing, is a non-profit professional association, dedicated to helping the cable business grow. To that end, CTAM provides consumer research, an interactive executive innovation series, conferences, awards and the “CTAM SmartBrief” to its individual members
