Rolfhartge brings Healthcare and Savoir-vivre to the Automobile

• Limited edition La G-Rouge based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63
• World premiere of innovation for health in automobiles
• Cabin air filter with photocatalysis and antiviral surfaces
• Rolfhartge pioneers innovative luxury-oriented approach to hygiene
• Leasing offer for deliveries from the second quarter of 2021

Überherrn - With the Limited Edition La G-Rouge, based on the Mercedes-AMG G 63, Rolfhartge presents two world-firsts: Beyond its eye-catching exterior and luxurious cabin, Rolf Hartge and his son Hendrik have developed a unique and revolutionary Health Package featuring antiviral, antibacterial processes that can achieve and sustain clinically clean air and surfaces in the interior.

With production capped at just 22 units, the 430 kW / 585 hp Limited Edition La G-Rouge is visually staged by its elegant two-tone paintwork, exclusive Rolfhartge Design 22-inch forged alloy wheels, Carbon-fibre trim, and the standout vertical chrome elements that give the front its more purposeful look. The commanding exterior presence is complemented by a handcrafted full-leather interior that features individual powered rear seats flanking a bespoke centre console with integrated drinks cooling compartment. The floor and luggage compartment are dressed with special antiviral and antibacterial carpets, and the exclusive cabin ambience is topped off by fine marble inlays in place of the standard wood trim on the centre console, dashboard and doors. A special highlight: While the Limited Edition La G-Rouge is built to order, delivery times will be relatively short. Depending on their choice of optional equipment the first customers will be able to take delivery as early as April 2021!

The AELUS air filter system is the dynamic element of the Rolfhartge Health package. Weighing just 630 grams, this device has a two-fold virus killing function. A highly efficient HEPA H13 filter is able to create the same air quality rating as operating theatres, and is uniquely combined with a patented photo-catalysis gateway. This dual treatment process ensures that viruses, germs, bacteria, smog, mould spores from the air conditioning system, fine dust (class PM2.5), as well as nitrogen oxides and sulphur dioxide are removed, guaranteeing unprecedented air quality for occupants. To ensure that the air remains consistently pure even after the vehicle doors have been opened to allow passengers in or out, the air inside the La G-Rouge is completely cleaned and refreshed six times per hour. The AELUS Purifier can also be used at home, in a hotel room or in the office using the AC/DC converter supplied with the unit.

As viruses and impurities cling to any surface in a vehicle interior, the second Rolfhartge healthcare innovation, SURFACE+ is used to neutralise this threat. Using a process adopted from medical technology, all interior surfaces are coated with this microscopically fine layer of liquid glass. Clinical tests have shown the effectiveness of SURFACE+ in dramatically reducing the ability of impurities to adhere to surfaces while effectively neutralising viruses, spores, fungi and other harmful contaminants. The cabin of La G-Rouge is thus able to achieve a level of hygiene comparable to that found in hospital clean rooms and operating theatres.

This holistic, future-oriented Health Package for vehicle interiors, underlines Rolf Hartge’s credentials as an innovative pioneer in the automotive world, and adds a whole new dimension to the experience of the luxury models from Stuttgart and Affalterbach. “We are the first company to adopt the new concept in design and healthcare technology that we call Smart Luxury,” says Rolf Hartge. "This fascinating concept combines its own unique savoir-vivre with innovative additional benefits relevant to our times."

According to a survey of 1,000 car owners conducted by the market research company Puls, 40 percent of German car buyers are interested in high-performance filter systems that remove viruses and pollutants from car interiors. Buyers of premium brands in particular showed an above-average interest in clean air in their cars. “We recognized this trend early on, and it was a point of focus during the development of our Automotive Health concept,” says Rolf Hartge, proudly referencing the 1st Place Award his company received at the CSITF Technology Fair in Shanghai in 2019, well before the COVID-19 pandemic.

The Rolf Hartge name has always been associated with aftermarket tuning solutions featuring big horsepower numbers, unique alloy wheels, and elegant body styling. Now it is associated with this new interpretation of vehicle tuning that embodies health and well-being, using cars from the Mercedes-Maybach and Mercedes-AMG stables. “As the standard engine power of today's premium vehicles is now even higher than anything our development engineers were able to achieve in the past, we felt the time was ripe for a paradigm shift to meet the needs of exclusive customers in our different times," says Rolf Hartge. “Today more than ever, health is the greatest luxury."
