New York, New York, June 14, 2007 – SatMonkey.com releases two articles about installation of free-to-air (FTA) satellite TV systems. These free channels are being transmitted from a number of satellites in the western hemisphere, along with a large number of other channels that require subscriptions in order to be able to view them.

Relatively very few people in the US are aware of the fact that many free channels in different languages can be viewed with a properly selected satellite TV system. Even fewer people know how to install such systems. One of the major reasons for this is the scarcity of information explaining how free-to-air satellite TV systems work, and how to easily install one. SatMonkey.com summarized such information in two articles, namely, "How satellite TV works" and "How to install a system". In addition, the "Terms and concepts" article at Satmonkey.com explains in more detail the equipment and technologies used in free-to-air satellite TV systems.

Unlike many other countries, the US is not characterized by a flux of different satellite dishes pointed in many different directions to capture a large amount of free English and non-English language channels being transmitted from all over the world. Only a few select satellite services, such as Dish Network and DirectTV have been successful in controlling the majority of satellite channels that Americans watch on their TV sets.

The mainstream media scarcely mentions the fact that there are tens of satellites hovering above the western hemisphere transmitting many free channels, along with channels that require subscription, which as a whole constitute alternatives to Dish Network and DirectTV. The release of SatMonkey.com's articles helps in educating the public on how satellite TV works, how to chose a satellite receiver, satellite dish and LNB, and how to correctly install them as a system, in order to capture the large amount of free channels constantly being transmitted by many satellites that are not owned by Dish Network or Direct TV.

SatMonkey.com is a website that retails free-to-air satellite TV equipment. It is wholly owned by Opportunity Star LLC.
