Thompson & Knight Recognized Again by The Legal 500 US

Thompson & Knight LLP is proud to announce the Firm has been ranked in the third volume of The Legal 500 US. This issue is dedicated to ranking litigation attorneys and firms in the United States, and the Firm’s Environmental Practice was included in the elite group. Thompson & Knight is listed among 14 other firms in this category.

James C. Morriss, Scott D. Deatherage, and James B. Harris are featured in the Firm’s profile. Morriss is recognized for his “expertise across a diverse mix of environmental counseling and litigation,” and they note he is “regularly involved in administrative and judicial litigation before federal agencies as well as state and federal courts.” They recommend Deatherage for his “expertise in air emissions, wastewater and hazardous waste litigation,” and give mention of his involvement in “the development of significant local environmental legislation, including the Texas Innocent Owner/Operator statute.” Harris is credited for his “counseling, regulatory and litigation expertise across an array of environmental issues, including wastewater and chemical waste.”
