Nigerian NGO is about to set up a rural Community Resource Center

The crowdfunding for the rural Community Resource Center in Ilora, Oyo State is already in full operation, but more donations are needed.

Oladapo Ajayi, PHD-Canidate at the university of Bayreuth and Charels Ikechukwu Okoli, economic resercher, are the key player behind the NGO “Afrii: Africa-Rural Intervention Initiative” which is registered in Nigeria.
Since 2012 the project equips students from needy families with school materials and takes care of them.
In 2019 the first free of charge summer school was held in Ilora where over 80 students participated in exam preparation for the university entrance test.
The rural Community Resource Center is the third subproject of the Afrii-NGO and is bridging the gap of the weak school infrastructure of the Oyo Region. Students from three local schools shall have the possibility to rent books and study in a silent environment, to obtain computer skills as well as to form study units.
