Tavannes Watch Co presents its « Buggy » Ready to race!

Tavannes Watch Co is building on its centuries old history as an innovator to once again break the codes of traditional watchmaking by launching on Kickstarter this month a powerful, disruptive, customizable and scalable product. The Buggy was inspired by the first watch known as "La Tropical", a real revolution produced by Tavannes Watch Co in the 1930s.
The team of engineers and designers at Tavannes Manufacture went above and beyond to develop this extraordinary product which is immediately distinguished by its imposing removable cage. Incredibly resistant, this cage is distinguished by its architectonic design reminiscent of the steel frame of Buggy-type racing vehicles. As on these, its main role is to protect the interior - the watch module in this case - from external aggressions. It has been designed to be disassembled without tools to ensure quick change and easy and efficient cleaning of components. Available in different materials - sometimes flexible, sometimes rigid - and in different colors, this cage gives the character desired by its pilot and completes the customization offered on the dial and bracelet.
In addition, the brand has chosen to equip this watch with a "Tavannes NATO" strap that adapts to all wrists, to the point that it can be worn over a racing suit. Machine washable, and as strong as a racing car's harness strap, it is interchangeable without tools and even compatible with other TWCo models!

Tavannes Manufacture Co oversees the Tavannes Watch Co and TA-VAN brands. Tavannes is headquartered in Tavannes Switzerland and has a manufacturing center in La Chaux-de-Fonds. The Tavannes Watch Co was founded in 1891 and was at the beginning of the 20th century the fourth largest watchmaking factory in the world.
