This accreditation reinforces KSPL's excellent track record of research work in the areas of Embedded Systems and Vision technologies.
Department of Scientific & Industrial Research (DSIR) comes under the Ministry of Science & Technology and is the nodal department for granting recognition to R&D units in Industry, and Scientific and Industrial Research Organizations (SIROs). The key objectives of DSIR are to bring in-house R&D into sharper focus, strengthen R&D infrastructure and promote R&D initiatives, and ensure that the contributions made by the in-house R&D centres and SIROs dovetail adequately in the overall context of technological and industrial development. DSIR gives such recognition to in-house R&D units engaged in innovative research & development activities related to the business of the product line the firm is engaged into such as, development of new technologies, design & engineering, process/product/design improvements, developing new methods of analysis & testing
