U.S. Congressional Candidate Byron Donalds

Naples, Florida – Byron Donalds, a conservative Republican and political grassroots leader who is running for the U.S. House of Representatives in Florida’s 19th District, has received the support of Herman Cain and was added to Cain’s Army of Davids – a roster of candidates who have formally adopted Cain’s 9-9-9 Economic Recovery and Jobs Program. Donalds is promoting the Fair Tax on the campaign trail and has endorsed 9-9-9 as a major step towards real tax reform.

Cain said he is impressed by Donalds’s dedication to restoring the American people to our rightful place as sovereign, and making the IRS subject to the will of the people.

“With a degree in finance and a career in long-term cost analysis and containment, Donalds knows numbers. He knows the economy. And he knows 9-9-9,” said Cain. He adds, “We need his mind on Capitol Hill to help politicians who don’t understand what the American people want. We want bold solutions to one of the biggest problems facing our nation today – the federal tax code.”

“The most efficient way to stimulate our economy today and in the future is with major tax reform,” said Donalds. “A simple and transparent tax code will provide businesses and investors the freedom to seek their own interests, which in turn will create the jobs Americans so desperately need.” Details of the 9-9-9 plan are outlined at http://cainsolutionsrevolution.com/999.

Donalds worked on Cain's presidential campaign in Southwest Florida, and the two both spoke at Conservatives United 2012 in Orlando in January when Donalds announced his candidacy. A video of Donalds’ speech at Conservatives United can be viewed at www.byrondonalds.com/video.

Donalds has amassed financial and volunteer support from all over the country, and won a straw poll after facing off with four of his opponents at a candidates forum in Marco Island. Donalds has also been endorsed by GOOOH (Get Out Of Our House), a non-partisan movement to elect citizen legislators, enact term limits and remove special interest influence.

Donalds is scheduled to speak next at the LEAP Congressional Candidates Forum at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 24th at First Baptist Church located at 3000 Orange Blossom Drive in Naples; and the Kiwanis Congressional Candidates Forum at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 26 at Cape Coral Kiwanis Hall located at 360 Santa Barbara Blvd. in Cape Coral.
