Calendar 2021 - A journey from Auckland to Queenstown

Kia Ora in Aotearoa, the land of the Maori. The photographer and author Dieter Meyer from Germany took pictures of dreamlike landscapes from the most beautiful end of the world on two of his trips to New Zealand in December and in February for this calendar. During these months, summer reigns on the southern hemisphere of the earth. The summer activities make the most of sun, sea and sand. New Zealand's many beaches and lakes are perfect for cooling off in the summer months. Temperatures are then between 21 - 32 degrees Celsius.

On the two trips in 2019, the author Dieter Meyer began his journey on the North Island in Auckland and ended it on the South Island in Queenstown.

Auckland with its blue harbor and relaxed Pacific atmosphere is considered the third most livable city in the world. Between explosive geysers and fascinating Maori culture, Rotorua is New Zealand's geothermal center. Wellington City is located at the southern end of the North Island and is the capital of New Zealand. On the South Island there are glacial lakes, in whose turquoise waters Mt. Cook (3,764 m) and other three thousand meter peaks are reflected. Queenstown on the shores of Lake Wakatipu is surrounded by a fantastic alpine panorama.
