5star Mobile Video conquers Nintendo Wii: Play the own videos on the game console

5star Mobile Video takes care of conversion and compression of videos so that they can be played on mobile devices. The new version can also address the Nintendo game console Wii. No problem to get all kinds of movies onto TV via Wii.

The 5star Mobile Video program handles videos of different sources; this means it imports movies from the Internet, reads videos that were digitalized with the camcorder and takes over movies from a video-DVD. These movies are then compressed and converted so that they can be played on mobile devices.

Videos for the mobile world

5star Mobile Video is at home in the mobile world. The program supports Apple iPod as well as the Sony PlayStationPortable, Microsoft Zune Player, modern PocketPCs, Nintendo DS and Gameboy Advanced with appropriate hardware module. Be it mobile phones with Multimedia support, the TomTom Mobile Navigator or other devices like Cliod CP2210 or iRiver PMP 120 and 140, the program always knows the format of the target video to make it playable. Modern functions such as"Stretch Borders" or "Adaptive Display" help to adapt the movies to the display size of the mobile devices.

Outstanding feature is that the videos are compressed to that extent that they only require minimum memory space and thus easily fit onto a small memory card. 5star Mobile Video is even able to cut the video material and store only the desired sequences. Fit-to-Technology guarantees that a movie after conversion does not require more space than is available on the memory card, since this value can be pre-defined exactly.

Play movies on Nintendo Wii

Nintendo Wii is considered to be this year’s hottest investment in technology. The stylish game console is nearly always out of stock since its market introduction in winter 2006. Wii offers an own photo channel, which can play photos and videos from an inserted SD-card. These videos must be created with an MJPEG-codec and stored in an AVI-container.

The new version of 5star Mobile Video is able to write exactly this target format. It is therefore no problem to convert DVDs, Xvid/Divx/Nero-videos, and Flash- or mobile phone videos to the required target format. 5star Mobile Video 1.57 requires Windows 2000, XP or Vista and an installed MP3-Codec (Windows Media Player 10/11 or Lame). A free-of-charge test version (20.6 MB) can be downloaded from the homepage of Engelmann Media and installed on the home computer. The unrestricted and permanently usable full version costs 39.90 Euro.
