Global Crane Sales Introduces HCC-80 (US 80 Ton) To Crawler Crane Lineup, North American Market

HOUSTON — Global Crane Sales, in partnership with leading crane manufacturer Zoomlion, expands its Crawler Crane lineup with the HCC-80. The 80-U.S. ton (72.5-metric ton) HCC-80 is Global’s newest model available to the North American market. Engineered, designed and built to the highest standards, the fully-loaded HCC-80 features quality construction and easy transportability, and is among the first in the industry to meet ANSI standards for safe operation. The crane is ideal for general construction, bridgework and pile driving applications, as well as oil refinery and power plant work.

Featuring an optimized boom design and high-strength, imported steel construction, the HCC-80 brings unmatched lifting capacity, strength and reliability in a smaller, more compact crane design. Main boom length ranges from 39.4 to 187-feet, with the fixed jib length ranging from 19.7 to 59-feet. Maximum lifting capacity with the fixed jib is 7-tons.

Built with top-of-the-line hydraulic and electric components the HCC-80 is fully equipped with all the features the market has come to expect. A Cummins diesel engine provides reliable, powerful operation, offering a horsepower output of 205 at 1,800 RPM. Further enhancing performance and reliability are additional high-quality components including Linde pumps, a PAT/Hirschmann LMI system, Pfeifer wire rope and Rexroth motors.

The HCC-80 is designed for easy transport in all states. During transport, the side frames and crawler tracks stay on, while the butt section remains in. The weight of this transportation configuration is less than 100,000 pounds. Additionally, the crane has been designed for easy assembly and disassembly with no additional equipment needed. Using its own mechanisms, the track frame, ballast weight, counterweight and boom frame can be easily installed and dismounted. The track and frame are connected via an easy-to-install hydraulic circular drive pin.

An electronic monitoring system is included to increase safe operation while enhancing the crane’s performance and longevity. The system monitors and displays real-time parameters of crucial items such as the hydraulic circuit’s working pressure, total working time, engine speed, oil pressure and fuel level. The HCC-80 also features anti-tipping devices for further enhanced safety, as well as a limit-position alarm system for the operating boom.

Featuring precise micromotion design, the HCC-80 delivers smooth operation during lifting, loading and changing direction. The electronically-controlled motor offers variable speed control to maximize efficiency with both light and heavy loads. Both the main and auxiliary winches achieve a speed of 393.7-feet per minute, while the luffing boom hoist winch offers a speed of 147.6-feet per minute. To ensure precision lifting and hoist control, a camera surveillance system provides full operator visibility of the boom and load.

The operator’s control cab is built for maximum comfort, safety and ease of operation. Ergonomically-designed features include the control panel, levers, operating handle and dashboard. To provide further comfort, the cab is standard-equipped with adjustable seats and air conditioning. The cab also has the ability to be pitched upward by 20-degrees to enhance operator visibility and reduce fatigue.

All Zoomlion cranes undergo strict load testing including rated, dynamic, static and traveling, are CE-certified and meet the ANSI B30.5 standard.
