Sweet Leaf® Tea Crowns The Craftiest Tea-Fan In Honor Of National Craft Month

Beverage Company Selects The Winner Of Their Homemade Goodness Contest

AUSTIN (April 4, 2012) – Sweet Leaf® Tea is proud to announce that Lauren McMordie of Lubbock, Texas has been chosen as the winner of the Homemade Goodness Contest which was part of the company’s social media promotion for National Craft Month. As the winner, Lauren will have her winning craft creation posted on the Sweet Leaf® Tea blog and Facebook page. In addition, Lauren will be awarded a $100 Hobby Lobby gift card and will receive the ultimate Sweet Leaf® Tea Craft Basket, which will include Sweet Leaf® Tea sunglasses, a tote bag and some other sweet prizes.

The Homemade Goodness Contest took place in the beginning of March in honor of National Craft Month. Throughout the month of March, Sweet Leaf® Tea asked fans to share their favorite craft ideas via social media for a chance to be crowned “the craftiest.” Out of all the entries submitted, the top three entries were posted on the Sweet Leaf® Tea Facebook, Twitter and blog where fans were asked to leave their comments, feedback, likes, shares, etc. to help to determine the winner. Lauren McMordie took home the title of The Ultimate Craft with her super-hero raccoon, Randolph. Lauren’s creative integration of knitting and crocheting transformed into a cute, cape-wearing raccoon that looks like he is ready to save the world!

A diehard tea-fan, Lauren is delighted to have her craft showcased on the Sweet Leaf® Tea social media sites and blog, stating that she “entered the Homemade Goodness Contest because I love Sweet Leaf® Tea, knitting and crafts. This contest was the perfect opportunity for me to share my creativity, personality and Randolph with the world.”
