MAIN TITLE HOLDER TO COMPETE FOR MISS CONNECTICUT USA IN FEBRUARY

Local pageant winner moves on in the Miss CT USA competition.

West Haven, Connecticut — Amani Jaramoga, an employee for the City of New Haven, will be competing for Miss Connecticut USA in February 2021 in Farmington, Connecticut.
Jaramoga is a pageant winner in the Miss USA and Miss Universe organization, and she is the current Miss West Haven USA titleholder. Amani Jaramoga is a Communications Major with a Minor in Sustainability. She hopes to work for the United Nations as part of the Global Communications Department for Africa in the future.
She is passionate about philanthropy and will work on sustainable community development in the national parks of East Africa through her university during the summer of 2021. Her local non-profit organization of choice is United Way of Greater New Haven, an organization that creates solutions to positively impact people in their community.

In addition to competing in pageants and going to school, Jaramoga has many other hobbies. Some of these include poetry, activism, and art. She was a former Disney Princess and was also the first black woman to hold the title of Miss West Haven USA.
