New HAPPICH- products: swivel doors as well as swivel sliding doors, which are also suitable for trams and subways.

Wuppertal/Velbert, March 2012. HAPPICH joins Feldmann. The leading interior outfitter for utility and special vehicles in Wuppertal and the highly specialised manufacturer and developer of high-tech bus door systems in Velbert commence their official cooperation in April 2012. With the newly founded joint venture, the Feldmann-HAPPICH GmbH, they want to continue to offer door system standards, but also fast individual door solutions for renowned manufacturers.

Sometimes the best is at the doorstep - in this case just 20 kilometres away. This is how close the two head offices of the interior outfitter for utility vehicles HAPPICH in Wuppertal and the development and production site for bus door systems Feldmann in Velbert are. Now they represent the joint venture "Feldmann-HAPPICH GmbH". And with good reason.

Clear division of labour

While the Feldmann component continues to concentrate on the development and production of standard door systems as well as special solutions for renowned bus manufacturers, HAPPICH, as leading interior outfitter of utility and special vehicles, provides its access to the market with distribution structures established over decades.
"Feldmann is excellently positioned with its know-how in development and up to date production technology of vehicle doors of 25 years, but the HAPPICH distribution logistic is unobtainable for us." says Thomas Wegert, Managing Director for Technology and Development of Feldmann enthusiastically.
With the amalgamation, Feldmann produces door systems exclusively for HAPPICH, while HAPPICH will take on the exclusive distribution.

Good connection

Both companies have a lot in common. Both are traditional owner-operated companies. HAPPICH was founded in 1924 in Wuppertal Elberfeld and Johann Feldmann GmbH in 1941 in Velbert.
Both are at home in the same region and industry and place great demands on their own innovativeness and the quality of their products.

Standards und Specials "Made in Germany"

As a Systems House with traditional focus on components and lock systems for buses it was a logical conclusion for HAPPICH to expand its product portfolio by door systems with Feldmann by way of a joint venture.
"Based on their technical expertise, Feldmann is the best possible partner for us, a top developer in door technology who is capable of quickly delivering individual solutions as well as the proven standards to manufacturers and who also provides competent after-sales-service. This is a great advantage." says Christian Diehl, Program Manager and long-standing Project Manager at HAPPICH, who is now responsible for the cooperation with Feldmann.

Now that HAPPICH is also offering air conditioning systems for buses and special vehicles for the first time at the end of 2011, the leading interior outfitter for utility and special vehicles is incorporating a further system product in their portfolio with bus door systems in view of the global market. The product range is completely "Made in Germany" and comprises interior and exterior swivel doors as well as swivel sliding doors, which are also suitable for trams and subways.

The HAPPICH enterprise, a member of the Pelzer Family Company, offers its customers all over the world a complete package of tailor-made and economical solutions with a strong emphasis on professional project management and a wide range of products.

Whether in omnibuses, railcars, cabins, marine architecture or mechanical engineering: HAPPICH stands for high quality, technically mature production technologies and a sure sense of style.

The professional skill we have accumulated in our individual activities gives rise to comprehensive synergy effects, to the benefit of customers in every sector.

Thanks to our wide range of products and our development expertise we can respond to the specific demands of the various markets involved by providing adaptable and customised solutions.
