Build Book Buzz website named best for independent authors
More than 130 websites were nominated for the AiA program, which recognizes websites in three categories — book awards, book reviews, and miscellaneous. Build Book Buzz was selected in the miscellaneous category. According to the AiA, sites selected as award winners offer free information and resources of relevance and value to independent authors.
Build Book Buzz offers a free bi-weekly e-newsletter on book publicity and promotion topics, features a robust blog with how-to information, and provides detailed tips on a range of book promotion topics.
“Peer recognition is the best kind,” says Sandra Beckwith, the site’s creator and a former publicist who has also won national awards for publicity excellence. “Our goal is to provide authors with helpful information, so this award validates that we’re offering what authors want and need.”
The Association of Independent Authors is a membership organization that represents, advances, supports, and encourages self-published (independent) authors. Its membership spans five continents, with directors based in the U.S., Asia, Australia, and South Africa.
