Elliott Lavietes, CPA Joins Sanders Thaler & Associates, LLP as Its New Tax Director

Sanders Thaler & Associates, LLP, a regional Certified Public Accounting (CPA) firm based in Jericho, New York, with an additional office in New York, NY, has announced that Elliott Lavietes, CPA has joined the firm as its new Tax Director. He comes from Citrin Cooperman, LLP in Manhattan, where he was a Tax Partner.

Mr. Lavietes has more than 25 years of tax experience specializing in tax research and planning for an array of industries including entertainment, real estate, and personal services. He also provides professional business services to high net worth individuals and is highly proficient in state and local taxation, offering clients multi-state planning strategies, including complete Nexus studies for income and sales tax.

As a member of the New York State Society of CPAs’ Multistate and Local Taxation Committee, Mr. Lavietes has authored numerous articles on a number of tax-related issues and has spoken on various topics before groups of professionals. He is also a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants.

Mr. Lavietes earned his Bachelor of Arts from Queens College and an MBA from St. John’s University. He also has an advanced degree in Taxation from Pace University. He resides in Bellmore, New York.
