Zetane Receives Continued Support from PME MTL with $50 Thousand Investment

[Montreal, Canada; September 10, 2020] Bucking the trend of doleful economic news is the allotment of another round of funding to the tech start-up, Zetane Systems. The software company specializing in artificial intelligence announced today a $50 000 investment from the West-Island division of PME MTL, a leading organization that supports entrepreneurship and the growth of small businesses in Montreal. This marks the second time this year the organization invests in this entrepreneurial venture born from a basement in a Beaconsfield home. The first tranche of funding was a half-million-dollar investment made in partnership with the Business Development Bank of Canada, announced last February. Zetane has since grown to employ a dozen highly-skilled employees and is in the process of hiring additional expertise in software development, data science, and machine learning.

From recovery to growth
Small businesses continue to grapple with a disproportionate brunt of the current economic downturn. In response, PME MTL provides funding to help competitive small businesses pass this temporary period of hardship. Bundled with additional recent investments, Zetane will use the funds to maintain the company’s plans for rapid growth and innovation. Initiatives nearing completion include the broad distribution and international sale of its software that provides a cutting-edge digital workspace to develop innovations in artificial intelligence applied in industry. This period of growth will include strengthening Zetane’s e-commerce capacities, as well as enhancing the company’s branding to exemplify their service offerings to large enterprises in sectors ranging from transportation to construction.

Zetane software ready for public viewing
The latest version of its software, the Zetane Engine, which is a development environment for artificial neural networks and the processing of diverse datasets, will be on display at the end of the month. The first exhibition will be at the Big Data and AI Toronto event occurring on September 29 to 30; the second is the World Summit AI trade show on October 14. In conjunction with both conferences, Zetane will provide webinars in October; dates for both webinars have yet to be confirmed but will be posted shortly on the company’s blog. Presentations at these events will explain how professionals in machine learning and data science can expedite their industrial projects using improved software tools developed for multi-disciplinary teams in the business. Due to the pandemic, all events will occur online and are accessible to anyone with a high-speed internet connection.
