How To Stay Motivated For Workouts
McQueen has led several individuals to feeling and looking their best through fitness training and nutrition education. Here are his top suggestions for how to stay motivated in fitness goals:
1. Set Small Goals
Instead of setting out to run a marathon, set a goal of running a mile. And then set a new goal of two miles. Small goals will keep motivation high due to the success tied with each small victory. In the end, larger goals are obtained through smaller, specific goal-setting.
2. Find a Workout Partner
When a “workout buddy” keeps you accountable to work out, motivation runs high. Having another individual to exercise with is great way to stay motivated and focused.
3. Add Variety to The Exercise Routine
Although many exercisers have a “niche,”change a routine to avoid burnout or boredom. Add strength training and cardiovascular exercises into a fitness plan to keep energy levels high.
4. Make Time for Rewards
When small goals are met, find a reward that celebrates the success. Avoid food rewards, which can create a setback.
