Big Noise, the award-winning music firm founded in 1990 by Al Gomes and A. Michelle will celebrate its 22nd anniversary this year.

In the past year, Al Gomes and A. Michelle's achievements included assisting jazz legend Freddy Cole in scoring a Grammy nomination for Best Jazz Vocal Album for 'Freddy Cole Sings Mr. B' (Big Noise also hosted the celebratory party with Freddy at the Grand Hyatt New York Hotel on Grammy Awards day; guests included his management team, record label, his band, and close friends). Big Noise also produced the East Coast premiere screening of The Beach Boys' documentary film '1974 – On the Road,' which included a Q&A and after-screening party with film director Billy Hinsche, a touring member of The Beach Boys for 25 years.

Al Gomes and A. Michelle also worked on publicity campaigns for platinum recording artist Kittie, Grammy nominee Ryan Shore, Grammy nominee Jim Brickman, Beach Boys lyricist Stephen Kalinich (which included Big Noise submitting Brian Wilson's grandchildren for the first time for Grammy Award nomination consideration), and Nashville songwriter Anna Wilson.

This year also saw the release of the fourth original motion picture soundtrack that Big Noise has overseen and released, Alexander Watrous' 'I Can Fix This.'

And for the first time, both Al Gomes and A. Michelle co-wrote and co-produced an entire CD together for pop singer Derek Carvalho's debut CD, 'Simple As That.' Both Al and A. Michelle have individually achieved past success with their songwriting on separate projects.

In addition, Big Noise's Second Annual Music Showcase played to a standing-room only crowd and featured live performances by 11 of the firm's most promising artists. Plus, screenings and talks throughout the year by Al Gomes and A. Michelle that centered on past Big Noise accomplishments and projects were also well-received.

2012 will prove to be another exciting year for the company. Many projects are planned including co-producing and co-writing a new CD by R&B icon and multi-Grammy nominee Melba Moore. Big Noise is also taking a much more active role in achieving TV, film and advertising licensing for many of its artists.

Big Noise, based in Providence, RI, is an international artist development, music production, and music marketing firm. They have assisted with the release of 300+ recordings of diverse musical genres by superstar and independent recording artists.

Al Gomes and A. Michelle have managed many of the projects from concept to completion including helping the artist set a budget for each project, choice of the artist's material and producer, hands-on A&R direction in the studio, art direction of recording package, manufacturing of finished CD, and the publicity, marketing and distribution of the release. They also assist with the branding of an artist, image, their business strategy and decisions, and the overall direction of their career.

Over the last 22 years, Al Gomes and A. Michelle have worked with many artists including Christina Aguilera, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Katharine McPhee, Bela Fleck, Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Little Anthony and the Imperials, Jay Geils, Paul Doucette (Matchbox 20), Glenn Tilbrook (Squeeze), multi-platinum producer Shelly Yakus, actor/directors Andrew McCarthy, Tiffani Thiessen, Stephen Collins, William Shatner and many others.
