The Valley Hospital Upgrades to PerfectLum 3.0 Suite to Perform AAPM TG18 Quality Assurance Tasks
07/02/2012, Wilmington, DE, USA - The Valley Hospital, the not-for-profit patient care center and a part of Valley Health System, is upgrading their installation of DICOM calibration software PerfectLum by QUBYX to the new version 3.0. PerfectLum 3.0 Suite includes quality assurance features, such as AAPM TG18 quality assurance tests, that are crucial for maintaining diagnostic displays quality within the requirements of the standard.
The Valley Hospital has been using version 2 of PerfectLum since 2009 to perform DICOM calibration of monitors, utilized for diagnostics and reviewing of medical images. Now that quality assurance features have been added to the software, the upgrade will allow The Valley Health practitioners to perform acceptance and constancy tests to the key medical standard in the US - American Association of Physicists in Medicine Task Group 18.
“For the last several years, our radiology group has been pleased to use PerfectLum exclusively for DICOM calibration of our home workstation consumer-grade monitors, optimizing their performance in high volume primary interpretation of CT/MRI scans as well as plain radiographs,” says Dr. Elliot J.
