Jorge H. Garcia of Garcia Stromberg Named Assistant Chair for ULI’s Southeast Florida/Caribbean District Council

Jorge H. Garcia, CEO of the International award winning Garcia Stromberg Architects of Boca Raton and Stuart, FL has been appointed Assistant Chair for The Urban Land Institute’s Southeast Florida/Caribbean District Council. In this role, Garcia will participate in all administrative and budgetary decisions for the District Council, assist in the long term strategic planning for the District Council, and would serve as Chair in the event that the Chair could not perform her responsibilities.

Jorge H. Garcia, AIA, NCARB, earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Miami and is a licensed architect in 13 states. He is a Member of the American Institute of Architects, Florida Atlantic Builders Association and an Advisory Board Member of the Florida Atlantic University School of Architecture. Mr. Garcia was recently honored with the 2007 West Palm Beach Ultimate CEO award. His firm, Garcia Stromberg, LLC has also been named Small Business of the Year (2001), Best Place To Work (2007) and the First Annual Up & Comers Award from the South Florida Business Journal.

Garcia serves as Assistant Chair of The Urban Land Institute--Southeast Florida/Caribbean, Executive Committee Vice Chair and Member of the Urban Land Institute and Recreational Development Council. He is a Trustee Member of the Greater Boca Raton Chamber of Commerce, serves on the City of Boca Raton Planning and Zoning Board, is a Board member of the Boys & Girls Club of Broward County, Humane Society of Broward County, Jack & Jill Children's Center and is a Graduate of Leadership Boca.
