3 Birds Marketing Welcomes Bill Egan as Director of Marketing and Product

February 6, 2012 – CHAPEL HILL, N.C. – 3 Birds Marketing, a software and digital marketing firm, is excited to announce the hiring of Bill Egan as Director of Marketing and Product. Egan has seven years of experience in the auto industry, including the last three as the first national e-commerce manager for Asbury Automotive Group. As Director of Product and Marketing for 3 Birds, Egan will be responsible for designing and working with clients to implement cutting-edge strategies for online marketing.

Egan began his automotive career as a salesman at Crown Honda of Greensboro, “and the auto industry got in my blood,” said Egan, who has owned nine cars in the last six years. He spent a year and a half in sales, but he soon moved into a position of leadership at Asbury. There, he streamlined marketing programs across multiple platforms to create consistency and establish the company’s online brand. Egan’s previous experiences in sales and automotive marketing shaped his work ethic. “I feel like I’ve got to do something for my clients every day,” he said. “I want to produce now.”

A South Bend, Indiana, native, Egan is an avid beach volleyball player who once held the title of City of Atlanta B/BB champion, and he hopes to one day open a pub selling the deep-dish pizzas he’s perfected over the last three years.
