Judith Sturm untitled 2005 auctioned and sold imKINSKY in vienna in 2020

Yet another work of german painter Judith Sturm, has been successfully auctioned at austrias finest address for art auctions, ImKinsky, in Vienna. Judith Sturm, born in Saarlouis in 1973 is masterstudent of Prof. Baumgarten and Prof. Nestler. In 2005 she has created her own signature style which was later published as "informal realism", a painting style she has since developed and impacts today. Her Art is figurative yet has deeper layers of abstract imbedded into often anonymous parts of the body. Allthough her motives are not always of a female nature, most of her work evolves around female models. She first sold at an Auction in Austria in 2012 when bidders could not stop overbiding each other driving the hammer price through the roof and making her the top sold artist for the auction that day. She has since been auctioned in Austria on regular bases with good success. Now, once again she has struck and an important painting from the year she first developed her signature in 2005 was auctioned away. "It is these kinds of artists you want to keep on your map" says Karl Maria Kinsky, owner of a private austrian art collection and gallery in mallorca, spain. "They have a certain aura about them and it is combined with their art historical value that they become the next Picassos, Dalis or Van Goghs".
