According to Prof. Debashis Chatterjee, Director IIM Kozhikode, “Women make the best managers. In India, especially, there is a dilemma that the woman professional faces - of work-life balance, in a life that gets more demanding during certain years. Productivity is not just a function of a few years of less work. This is a marathon. The huge
W2W life experiences of women can be converted into value in the top management.” He says “The age of the whole brain will set right some of the asymmetries in our cortical hemispheres. In this, women who bring those soft cortical skills and big-picture perception of life to the job will triumph over lopsidedly analytical and data distracted left-brainers.” IIMK can boast of 35% women admission to its flagship Post Graduate Programme, which is a record by any Business School in the country.

Prof. Manoranjan Dhal (OB&HR Area, IIMK) says “While the industry keeps debating about the competency, emotional quotient, gender diversity, and stereotyping, the number of HR professionals is varying in terms of roles, hierarchy and sectors. This HR summit will provide a platform to brainstorm the current challenges and road map to success of women HR professionals.”
