Interview with Dr. Mahathir of Malaysia
The CEO of GBP INTERNATIONAL Mr Volker Friedrich was granted an exclusive interview with Tun Dr. Mahathir of Malaysia. In an engaging 45 min talk conducted via internet call Dr. Mahathir was questioned by Volker Friedrich on the management of the Corona crisis in Malaysia and his outlook of the post corona time. Dr. Mahathirs views on China in the ASEAN region as well as in Europe should be noted in the offices of the decision makers in the corporate and political institutions in Europe.
With more than 20 years of experience in supporting European investments in Asia Volker Friedrich managed to throw some challenging questions at Dr. Mahathir. To no surprise Dr. M - as he is commonly called - is appearing as knowledgeable as ever about the various topics ranging from sustainability, Anwar Ibrahim, his successor as Prime Minister and he is even sharing some personal experiences on the future importance of the environment and lets us know about his most admired personality.
When asked why Malaysia is not as visible in Europe as other ASEAN countries Dr. Mahathir stated: “Malaysia needs more people like you (Volker Friedrich) who live and work in Malaysia and who understand the benefits of investing in Malaysia.”
