J M Shah & Company has been an independent firm of chartered accountants and business advisers with an office in the heart of Mayfair for more than 30 years. Since 1 October 2011 the firm is now part of the Price Bailey Group, trading as J M Shah & Company LLP.

Price Bailey are an award winning accountancy firm providing a blend of consultancy and planning skills to complement the more routine accountancy, tax and financial services work. Established more than 70 years ago, Price Bailey have grown considerably in the last year and now have over 200 partners and staff in their 7 offices situated over London, Cambridge, Norwich and Guernsey. The firm has shown a strong organic growth during the recession and has recently boosted the expansion further by acquiring a fiduciary business in Guernsey and an insolvency and recovery practice in London. The Mayfair office forms part of a five year strategic plan to grow and develop the practice and is accompanied by a strong recruitment drive at all levels.

Jitu Shah, owner of J M Shah & Company LLP, says: "With a growing portfolio of clients, both local and international, the firm needed to be able to offer a wider range of services and specialist expertise. When I met Peter Gillman and the partners from Price Bailey I knew I’d found the right match to service those needs. I’mpassionate about offering a high quality and personal service to my clients and it’s very important to deal with likeminded individuals when you enter into a venture like this."

Peter Gillman, Managing Director of Price Bailey, says: "We are very pleased to announce this deal and to now have a fantastic office and representation in the West End. Our Mayfair office will become our third in London as we continue to grow the practice. Many of Jitu’s clients will directly benefit from our in-house expertise and links to offshore services from our Guernsey office as well as our well developed private client offering. However, this deal is very much a strategic fit for both parties as J M Shah & Company will help to strengthen our international business as well as existing corporate and private client sectors."
