SmartTOP Convertible Top Controller for Renault Megane CC III

The SmartTOP add-on convertible top module offered by Mods4cars for the Renault Megane CC III is now available. It allows convenient one-touch top operation while driving at slow speeds as well as opening and closing the top from the original factory key remote fob. It comes with a custom designed plug-and-play wiring harness for extremely simple and quick installation.

Effective immediately, the SmartTOP convertible top kit offered by Mods4cars for the new Renault Megane CC III convertible is in stock and ready to ship. Added convenience features include opening and closing the convertible top at the touch of a button and at speeds of up to 40 km/h (~28 mph). The car will be used with the top down more often, pulling over and holding down the top switch is a thing of the past.

“Our new product also gives drivers the option to open or close their top from afar, with the original key fob“, says PR manager Sven Tornow. “No separate remote fob is needed and changes must be made to the existing remote fobs.” He continues. Megane owners can now lower the top already while walking up to the car or close the top after parking and getting out. On cars equipped with the “keycard handsfree” option the top can even be operated via touch sequences on the driver’s door handle.

The kit comes complete with a custom designed plug-and-play wiring harness for a simple and quick installation. It uses the original Renault connectors and plugs to ensure a perfect fit. The module kit quickly connects to the car electronics without the need to cut or splice separate wires.

Like other modules of the SmartTOP family, it also offers a hand full of bonus features such as a main switch to quickly deactivate the entire module or an extended mode where turning the ignition on or off will not interrupt an ongoing top operation. Thanks to the standard USB connector and a supplied USB cord, all modules can be configured conveniently or the product firmware updated quickly via PC. The support software and all product firmware updates are available online, free of charge, for the life of the product.
