FLIXPICS Creates Virtual Film Fest to Aid Filmmakers & Movie Lovers

WASHINGTON DC, May 25, 2020--Many film festivals across the nation and the world have had to cancel or postpone their events due to the global COVID-19 Pandemic. FLIXPICS has decided to support our independent filmmakers who no longer have the festival option this year.
"We're giving filmmakers a chance to showcase their films and pilots on a global platform," says Georgette Hayden, Founder and CEO of FLIXPICS. "Their films and pilots can be showcased for a longer period of time and for less money!""
FLIXPICS offers independent filmmakers an opportunity to exhibit their feature films, film shorts and pilots at reduced flat rates. Each participating filmmaker can submit a maximum of three (3) feature film titles and/or long-form television pilots at a flat rate of $100.00 per title/pilot and a maximum of five (5) film shorts and/or short-form television pilots at a flat rate of $40.00 per short/pilot.
The following rolling deadlines for submissions were established to enable more filmmakers to benefit from what the Virtual Film Fest has to offer: May 1 to May 10, June 1 to June 10, and
July 1 to July 10. All genres are welcomed but must meet the FLIXPICS family-friendly criteria to qualify.
"We suggest that filmmakers submit their film titles, shorts and pilots for evaluation as soon as possible to receive the greatest benefit from the promotional campaign for the Virtual Film Fest," states Georgette Hayden.
The FLIXPICS Virtual Festival begins on May 15, 2020 and continues through August 31, 2020. Submissions can be made online at http://flixpics.com/submit.
FLIXPICS is a new, imaginative and competitive, woman-led, minority-owned, online VOD streaming experience with broadcast capabilities created primarily to extend the reach of women and filmmakers of color globally.
