Press release from: HemTab, Inc.

Hemorrhoids are one of those medical topics that cause people to involuntarily cringe when mentioned. There’s no way around it: the condition is irritating, often painful, embarrassing and sometimes it can even be dangerous. Pharmaceutical companies spend millions of dollars every year in promoting their name brand remedies, but with in excess of one hundred different ointments and creams being sold every day in drugstores, which in this crowded market the most effective in providing relief? Consumer Grades tested every hemorrhoid treatment they could find and picked a clear winner in relieving symptoms while helping sufferers to recover. Perhaps surprisingly, the winner (for the second straight year) is not one of the nationally advertised medications.

Before moving on to the test results, it’s important we mention something. Although we think of hemorrhoids as a nuisance, they can actually be dangerous; it’s also possible to mistake other, much more serious conditions, for hemorrhoids. While the condition is widespread and affects as many as half of all adults over 50 at some point, if you suffer any symptoms that you suspect are hemorrhoids, you should consult with your doctor and not settle for a self-diagnosis. Bleeding hemorrhoids in particular should be treated seriously and attended to by your doctor. That being said, what can you do to make life more pleasant while waiting for the condition to clear up, and even to speed up the recovery process? Consumer Grades released its annual report on medical products and for the second year in a row, HemTab was named the Editor’s Choice as the most effective treatment for this affliction. The results were based on Consumer Grades’s research and testing, including feedback from hemorrhoids sufferers who completed satisfaction surveys.

When the results were tabulated, Preparation H, Zenmed, Avatrol and Venapro all placed within the top five, but it was HemTab that took top honors, for the second straight year. Although HemTab may not be as instantly recognizable to consumers as a heavily advertised brand name medication like Preparation H, HemTab was established in 2004 and has had a solid track record for product effectiveness and safety ever since. According to the Consumer Grades testing, HemTab not only helped accelerate healing of hemorrhoids, feedback was positive for its effectiveness when used to treat bleeding hemorrhoids as well. Priced at $28.95 for a treatment cycle, HemTab also rated five stars in terms of value for the price, proving that leading medication needn’t be outrageously expensive. When working with doctors and medical practitioners, researcher Steven Core would frequently hear that patients and doctors alike were unhappy with the effectiveness of medications sold through pharmacies to combat hemorrhoids. “The most widely marketed brand names often failed to provide relief,” Core notes. In recent testing by Consumer Grades, even bleeding hemorrhoids responded to a medication called HemTab leading Core to write several features about the product in medical journals.
