serVonic’s CTI-solution IXI-PCS is now available in Version 1.10. The Olching-based software producer has added the features Presence, Instant Messaging, an Outlook add-in and a gateway for Microsoft Lync Server to the Professional Call Server for Windows, Mac and Linux workstations.
In addition to the telephony status, the flexible IXI-PCS partner bar now also displays the presence status and provides instant messaging at the workstation. The colleagues can see, for example, who is available, in a meeting or out for lunch. The user chooses the respective status in the partner bar by mouse-click – Available, Away, Not available, Do not disturb – and can also add the reason for his absence or a comment in the presence message. The IM-feature allows the users to send short text messages in real-time to each other. By means of the XMPP-support of IXI-PCS, the new features Presence and IM can also be used via smart phones or tablet PC’s.
Via the new Outlook add-in, the users can start calls directly out of Outlook Contacts. They just mark the respective contact and choose the phone number – Business, Home or Mobile.
The IXI-PCS Lync Gateway – a call control gateway for Microsoft Lync Server 2010 – allows connecting telephones at available PBX’s with Microsoft’s Lync Server. The users thus can control the phones via their Microsoft Lync Client.
serVonic’s IXI-PCS Professional Call Server is a client/server (third party) CTI software solution, which provides features for an effective telephony on Windows, Mac and Linux clients. IXI-PCS can be used on workstations with Windows, Mac OS X and Linux clients also in mixed environments. serVonic therewith offers a CTI software package, which contains the support of the PBX via TAPI/CSTA without additional middleware, a Meta Directory, the IXI-PCS client software for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux workstations, the partner bar with group features, telephony status, presence and instant messaging as well as the Microsoft Lync 2010 Gateway. In addition to that, the IXI-PCS Web Dialer provides simple features such as easy dialing or the search in the address book via conventional web browsers.
