Press release from: MOOYAH Burgers, Fries & Shakes

(Dallas, TX) December 2, 2011 – Burger lovers in Mansfield have had to travel to get their MOOYAH fix, but now that the newest restaurant is officially open in Mansfield, the drive is a quick one. The newest restaurant on 3300 East Broad Street at the intersection of Highway 360 and Broad Street has only been open for three weeks and is already enjoying major success.

“Many of our guests in Mansfield love MOOYAH but were having to go to nearby counties for their favorite burgers, and now we’re in their back yard,” says franchisee Johnny Collins, who also owns a MOOYAH restaurant in Colleyville that opened last year. Work on a third restaurant in Collins’s hometown of McAllen has also begun.

“The brand began expanding around Dallas, but now we’re spreading out throughout the state and beyond,” says Collins. “MOOYAH has a loyal following, and fans love that we’re the new neighborhood hangout!”

A big part of what makes MOOYAH so craze-worthy is the million customizable ways each guest can enjoy his or her burger. Grilled patties come in 100% fresh, never frozen American beef, Jennie-O turkey, or veggie along with a choice of nine delicious sauces and unlimited veggies.

Better burger buns are also a big part of the experience. Guests can go with an Iceburger, a patty wrapped in crunchy, hand leafed lettuce, or choose from white or whole wheat buns that are baked fresh daily at each restaurant.

Collins’s favorite is a creation of his very own called the “JC Special” piled high with fresh ingredients. It begins with a beef patty that’s topped with mushrooms, tomato, ketchup, mustard, barbecue sauce, onion, jalapenos, and pepper jack cheese served between a white bun. “When I walk in, I ask for the ‘JC Special,’ and they know exactly what to make,” says Collins.

Attentive and friendly service is another component that sets MOOYAH apart. The Mansfield restaurant created 22 new jobs, most of which are filled by qualified students because Collins wants to help young people invest in their future.

“We try to provide the best customer service possible,” says Collins. “Guests have such a great experience here that we’ve been asked to put out a tip jar, but we don’t—we’re all proud to do our jobs well and it’s service our guests have come to expect.”

Collins, a native Texan and resident of Colleyville, understands what a great work ethic is all about. He joined the Navy and then attended college at the University of Texas-Pan American. After working in the security business, he opened several buffalo wing restaurants in the area. When he recognized the burger industry had a bright future, MOOYAH was the perfect fit.

Collins attributes his restaurant business success to his faith, his family’s support, and putting service and high quality products at the forefront of his business model.

“My faith in Lord has led me to this wonderful place in my life,” explains Collins. “I feel blessed to have this new opportunity and be a part of the MOOYAH family! We couldn’t have asked for a better corporate partner and local community to open our first better burger restaurant.”

MOOYAH restaurants have enjoyed so much success, says brand president Alan Hixon, because people love the casual, “come as you are,” atmosphere that welcomes anyone and everyone to relax and enjoy their burger any way they want it. “There are literally a million ways to enjoy your burger with us,” says Hixon. “We accept nothing but the highest quality. Our guests can taste that our food is real.”
