SBS Worldwide appoints General Manager at Atlanta Office

SBS Worldwide has appointed Ron Gatlin as General Manager of its Atlanta office.
The appointment supports SBS Worldwide’s global growth strategy as the group looks to drive expansion in new and existing industry verticals.

SBS Worldwide, a leading global supply chain solutions provider, is enhancing its logistics presence on the transpacific trade lane and is targeting growth through its south-east USA operation, while continuing the upward momentum of its business on the transatlantic.

Ron has wide range of experience in the shipping and logistics industry and is a hugely successful senior manager.

Ron began his career in 1976 with a steamship agency in Norfolk, VA. In 1978, he joined a local forwarder/customs house broker where he worked until 1985 when he switched to Schenker, working in the air and ocean export department and later as a Branch Manager in the cities Louisville, Charlotte, Charleston and Atlanta.

In his most recent assignment with Schenker, he served as the Director of Strategic Ocean Accounts and Programs where he was heavily involved with transpacific business development and account management.

Ron is married with three grown children and in his spare time enjoys fishing and biking.
