Gouda, The Netherlands, 11 May 2007- At this year´s IBM PartnerWorld Conference in St. Louis/Missouri (USA) Fritz und Macziol, the German ICT company of the European technical services provider Imtech, won the IBM Excellence Award for the second time. The Award is given to only four partners worldwide every year who are considered to be the best Business Partner in their region. The jury highlighted the strategy of jointly offering hardware, software and services, as well as the investments in know-how and staff, the expansion of the solutions business and the extraordinary growth achieved.

The Imtech company won also the IBM Beacon Award in the category ´Best IBM System Storage Virtualization solution´ with a comprehensive, integrated virtualization concept developed on the basis of the IBM SAN Volume Controller, which cost-efficiently combines the greatest availability and security with flexible data management. In addition to the solution itself, the jury also commended the strong growth in IBM products and services and the outstanding expertise available in all areas of virtualization technology.

The Imtech ICT specialist was also a finalist in the category ´Best Information management solution´. The jury was impressed by the cost-saving document management solution for a financial services provider based on the IBM Enterprise Content Manager.
