The first stage impeller for the centrifugal compressor

The first stage impeller for the centrifugal compressor

Advanced Design Technology's Engineering Department carried out the design of a small tonnage 2-stage chiller compressor. The customer, a leading supplier of HVAC industry, needed a centrifugal compressor for their updated range of chillers which were expected to operate with the new low-GWP refrigeration R1234ze.

This consultancy required the use of ADT's preliminary turbomachinery design tool, TURBOdesign Pre, as well as its unique blade design software, TURBOdesign1. TURBOdesign Pre is a 1D sizing code for the preliminary design and analysis of various turbomachinery components. TURBOdesign 1 uses the 3D Inverse Design approach to compute the blade shape for a given blade loading distribution.

ADT Engineering Services team is composed of highly skilled turbomachinery design and analysis engineers ready to support and complement your design needs. Whether you need a complete study, from conception to final design for manufacturing, or are facing challenging multi-point / multi-objective design objectives, our team will be able to support your requirements by application of our proprietary technology and unique design know-how.
