VaginalMeshLegalClaims.com: New Website Aims at Helping Women Injured by Vaginal Mesh

11-30-2011 02:09 AM CET | Politics, Law & Society

Press release from: Nadrich & Cohen, LLP

Los Angeles, CA, November 28, 2011 – As more women are coming forward with claims of serious injuries caused by vaginal mesh, a national law firm is doing its part to provide information and assistance to potential claimants. Nadrich & Cohen, LLP has established a new website dedicated to providing the latest news, updates and information regarding vaginal mesh side effects and vaginal mesh lawsuits.

The website, www.VaginalMeshLegalClaims.com, was born out of a desire to reach out to women who have experienced severe pain, scarring, dangerous infections, blood vessel damage and other side effects after receiving a transvaginal mesh implant. The site provides a complete history of the various issues linked to the use of transvaginal mesh and the most up-to-date FDA warnings and announcements. Visitors to the site may also complete a confidential online form to arrange a free initial case evaluation.

The mesh devices were first approved by the Food and Drug Administration in 1996 as a means of treating women who suffered incontinence and other symptoms caused by pelvic organ prolapse (POP). POP is a condition typically brought on by childbirth, weight gain and/or hysterectomy.

Since 2005, approximately 4,000 complaints have been forwarded to the FDA regarding problems associated with vaginal mesh implants. Approximately 600 women have already filed vaginal mesh injury lawsuits. Some of the most serious complaints allege that transvaginal mesh caused significant complications, including difficulty urinating, severe pain, swelling and painful intercourse. The primary problem with vaginal mesh is that it can become fused with the body’s tissue, which eventually translates to painful side effects.

The law firm of Nadrich & Cohen, LLP is urging any woman who has received a transvaginal mesh implant to visit www.VaginalMeshLegalClaims.com to learn more about the potential problems these devices may cause, regardless of whether or not they’ve experienced any adverse side effects. Alternately, women who’ve been injured by vaginal mesh may call the firm’s Injury Hotline at 1-800-722-0765. Their experienced team of vaginal mesh injury attorneys is currently investigating claims from women in all 50 states and is committed to helping victims of these faulty medical devices get the compensation they’re entitled to.
