First Annual World Shale Gas Awards – Celebrating achievements and innovation in the shale gas industry

The CWC Group, American Gas Association and International Gas Union are delighted to announce the winners of the First Annual World Shale Gas Awards, presented in Houston on the 9 November at a dinner hosted by BHP Billiton.

The 2011 Award winners are:

1. International Pioneer: 3Legs Resources

For their work to pioneer the development of shale gas in Poland
The Award was accepted by Kamlesh Parmar, Commercial Director.

Peter Clutterbuck, Chief Executive of 3Legs Resources said; "We are pleased to have received such a prestigious accolade and its great recognition from our industry peers for the work that we are doing."

2. Community Engagement: Talisman Energy

For their Local Economic Engagement Strategy and international implementation of the Good Neighbor Program
The Award was accepted by Hank Dixon, VP Corporate Affairs.

3. Technological Innovator: GasFrac Energy Services

For their ground-breaking LPG Fracturing Process
The Award was accepted by Robert Lestz, Chief Technology Officer and Dwight Loree, founder and former CEO.
