Press release from: Nadrich & Cohen, LLP

Los Angeles, CA, November 25, 2011 – National law firm Nadrich & Cohen, LLP has established a new website to reach out to Actos users who have developed bladder cancer. The new site, http://www.SideEffectActos.com, offers Actos users information about bladder cancer symptoms, a complete history of FDA warnings regarding the drug and the latest news about the Actos lawsuits.

The California-based law firm is currently investigating claims from Actos users in all 50 states who allege that they developed bladder cancer after using the drug. Actos was first approved in 1999 to treat patients with Type 2 diabetes. The link between Actos and bladder cancer was first established in 2010, after research showed that patients who used the drug had a significantly higher risk of developing cancer.

In June of this year, health officials in France and Germany pulled Actos off the market, citing health and safety concerns. At the time of publication, the European Medical Agency was still supporting the use of Actos for Type 2 diabetes patients if other treatments prove ineffective.

While the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has yet to issue a similar recall, numerous health warnings have been issued, advising Actos users of the increased bladder cancer risk. Multiple lawsuits have since been filed against Japan’s Takeda Pharmaceuticals, the maker of the drug. The lawsuits allege that Takeda knew of the potential side effects of Actos but did nothing to warn consumers of the risk.

Nadrich & Cohen, LLP created http://www.SideEffectActos.com in an effort to connect with Actos users who may have experienced adverse side effects from taking the drug. Visitors to the site can use an online contact form to submit their information to member of Nadrich & Cohen’s Actos legal team. The firm is currently offer free case evaluations to all potential claimants.

If you’ve experienced bladder cancer symptoms after taking Actos, you need to contact an experienced Actos attorney immediately to discuss your case. You may have grounds for a personal injury lawsuit but each state limits the time frame differently for filing claims. Visit http://www.SideEffectActos.com to get more information on the link between Actos and bladder cancer or to connect with an Actos bladder cancer injury lawyer.
