Intersec 2012 To Be Held Under Patronage Of HH Sheikh Mansoor Bin Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum

Region’s premier safety, security and policing trade event expected to be even larger than 2011 edition

Safety, security and policing are becoming issues of crucial importance worldwide and in the Middle East in particular. This means there is an increased significance for regional trade and networking platforms such as Intersec to highlight the particular issues and trends which are affecting the industries.

This was underlined by His Highness Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum who is once again to be patron of Intersec. This further assures the support of local authorities for the event, which will be held at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre from January 15th to 17th, 2012.

Current estimates indicate that the show will be considerably larger both in size and scope as compared to the record-breaking 2011 edition. This is because Intersec is the most significant brand for exhibitors in the fields of Commercial Security, Fire & Rescue, Information Security, Safety & Health, Homeland Security & Policing and Aviation Security.

Being one of the leading safety, security and policing trade and networking events worldwide, Intersec continues to be the platform of choice for leading manufacturers and suppliers to debut their latest product innovations. The Middle East market continues to be a high-priority region for the safety and security industry, thanks to its high spending power and prioritisation of security issues.

The event will also feature a comprehensive conference and seminar programme which includes a range of high-powered international speakers and regional experts offering insight on current hot button issues and industry trends and developments. Also, for the first time, this year Intersec will host a congress on Emergency Medicine running alongside the event to highlight current trends and advances in Emergency Medicine and provide a vital, first-of-its-kind discussion platform for the region.

Also held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Mansoor bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the UAE International FireFit Championships will run alongside the event for the third year. Growing in size and scope year on year, this year the Championships will welcome teams from across the GCC.

Also part of the outdoor programme, a full range of tactical rescues and close combat operations will once again take centre stage. Showcasing interactive scenarios across the fields of rescue, counter terror and law enforcement, the outdoor demonstration area proves to be a big draw for trade visitors each year.
