Inkcups Now introduces Cobalt 350 system – both a revolutionary plate-maker for Pad Printing and a versatile industrial laser etcher. This CO2 laser system has a very small spot size and a variety of raster programs, which provides exceptional control over the quality of pad printed images and laser etched graphics. The XY motion of the laser print head allows etching of very large images, (up to 25” x 18”).

With regard to plate-making, the system uses specially designed Imperial Printing Plates (patent pending) to produce pad printing plates directly from the computer. Just add the Cobalt software to your standard PC and begin “printing” images to the Cobalt 350 laser. Within minutes you can etch high resolution pad printing plates without the use of chemicals, films or concern about depth control.

As for etching, Cobalt 350 works perfectly on wood, ceramic, glass, stone, aluminum, acrylic, rubber and other substrates.
